On this Monday evening, while we are midst the first big Presidential Debate, I thought I’d soften any tension with the fab soft pink post! I LOVE blush. It has to be one of my favorite colors. (You know, next to navy and gray…) So I was beyond thrilled when Emily and I landed on this pink garage. What a beaut! I scored the softest tank from Lion & Witch recently and so I wanted to show it off by pairing it with my power skirt. Pencil skirts can be tricky, but the length and fit on this one is a dream. Plus, I don’t feel like I’m stuffed in a sausage casing, which is a reallll bonus. Add some hoops for some extra sass and my fave pink suede moto jacket to toughen it up and I’m a happy gal!
Archives for September 2016
Fashion x Dallas was SUCH a blast! HUGE shout out to Mandy + Kristen at POM PR in Austin for the amazing seats and best experience, y’all did such an incredible job! It was quite the whirlwind, but I love any kind of runway show, and seeing the Project Runway stars, plus some local talent over the course of the three days was so fun.
Day 1 – I sported a Theory jumpsuit I wore to my rehearsal dinner and broke it back out in a more fashion-y way. A high pony + some patent oxfords and it was the perfect way for me to do cool girl cocktail casual on a Thursday.
Day 2 – THE Chanel dress. This was the first time I got to break out this dress and I am so happy I did. This dress is amazing and will definitely be getting its own post in the future because I’m obsessed with it and want an excuse to wear it again. I kept it sleek and easy, with a low pony and silver shoes.
Day 3 – I re-styled my Reformation dress with my STANS! I FINALLY got my hands on a pair and I am beyond in love. Add a braid and some jewels and this look was perfect for Friday night.
Below runway images are just a smidge of what was actually shown. Truth be told, I was so busy snapping the great looks and so excited that I didn’t take as many pics as I wish! Luckily Emily caught some great ones!
All images below were taken by Emily Whitener. Thanks so much for always capturing the moments, girl! xoxo – e
The anticipation of my first Shake Shack experience…

Ah, how did it become September already?! Wigging out over here, y’all!! While I’d love to do some “transitional weather” posts, the reality is that it’s still 100+ degrees down here, sooo we are just going to pretend. This knitted dress would be easy to transition if you are having nicer weather than me. It’s light weight, but could easily go under a fun jacket or paired with some booties. It is a cobalt navy blend color and has a little pink under weaving that is pretty fun! Since it just kind of hangs, I added a belt to give some definition and focus. I love the neckline and cap sleeve, as it adds a sporty edge, which is so fun! While it hangs close to the body, the fabric is so comfy, making it great for all day wear.
