Welcome to my personal first edition of “One Dress Two Ways!” Bloggers do this kind of thing all the time and to be honest, this was not an intentional post. But my friend and I braved the August heat and shot this dress, so I wanted to utilize all the pictures to honor our sweat and tears, and oh yea, more sweat. I love the idea of the trench dress and the vest dress, but sometimes it doesn’t look super practical. It mostly looks stiff and like it requires a lot of starch.. Not for me. This one is super soft and flowy, has good buttons to keep it together without some weird contraption and has pockets! You know I’ll do juuuust about anything for a pocket. To make it a little less see through and a little more real life friendly, I added a slip dress that came with a different dress I had, but I think you could pop just about any color slip under this and it would be cute! I’ve been wearing this dress the “sweet” way, as pictured above, but my new Public Desire booties called for a little upgrade into the edgy territory. So I sucked myself into my skinny jeans, traded the slip dress for a black bralette and we went to town!
If you haven’t heard of or checked out Public Desire, you MUST. My friend/photog introduced me and I’m obsessed. These nude pink booties with the gold clear heel are S T U N N I N G irl. highly recommend!
