Royal blue is such a great power color. This outfit is not, by any means, super fancy or complex, but the simple blouse in the bright royal really lightened up my mood all day. I got so many compliments on how the color looked on me and that I looked pretty that day. It was so sweet (since I personally felt like I didn’t really look overly impressive!) Anytime a singular item can brighten up my life, I’m in! 🙂 Pst see that keyhole in the back? Such a sweet detail. I added a little sparkle with this amazing tonal necklace that I received in my latest Rocksbox! It’s the Perry Street Jane Necklace, go add it to your Wishlist now! Thanks to Dallas Restaurant week for allowing my husband and I to enjoy a delicious meal at Ocean Prime for a date night recently. Last year, we went to Trulucks and due to the delicious dessert menu (carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake #amazing) we ventured to Ocean Prime this year! I found this neon yellow lace dress at Top Shop in Chicago (and on killer sale at that) and decided it was worth going out of my comfort zone. I don’t do neon as a general rule, but I really loved the feminine lace and modern cut around the shoulders that made this dress stand out. I also love that it’s a shift dress, keeping it feeling fresh and allows room for eating (yes, that’s something I legitimately think about when getting dressed.) I’m so glad I tried something new, as I loved the way I felt in this dress! PS stay tuned- beauty details to come! xoxo
I found this peach blazer at Zara during my recent trip to Chicago (Chicago recap post to come!) and I instantly fell in love with it. First off, it was on killer sale (less than $40!) and the linen is so appropriate for the Texas heat. Peach is such a wonderful color and I loved that the feminine color was kept in check by the oversized, boyfriend feel, of this blazer. To keep the blazer from being too professional on a day where I wanted to be comfy, I paired it with my new fave muscle tee and cargo pants. The peach and olive go together in a fun, unexpected way and I added some glam with my J. Crew statement necklace. Voila! Edgy without the jacket and work appropriate and fun with the jacket. 2 for 1 thank you please!

Confession! I found this dress at LOFT a month or so ago and just couldn’t bring myself to pay full price for a t-shirt dress (although, I fully admit that I had the worst regret ever for not buying it!) so when it went on sale, I literally freaked out and ordered ASAP. This dress is a DREAM! Comfy and airy, it is great for the Texas heat. The fabric has enough structure that it doesn’t stretch out during the day and it looks really cute on! I wore it to work with little heels and then put on my orange + tan New Balance sneaks for my flight to Chicago. Both looked equally cute! I paired it back with my fave David Yurman ring and new Michele watched that I snagged at Last Call at a steal! Since I was at a work conference this week, I kept my nice purse with me to elevate my casual Friday look until work was over.
Some days I’m not sure what I’ve put on until I’m at work in the bathroom going “welp, happy tuesday to me! #sorryeveryone” Luckily, this black jersey dress saved the day and I wasn’t a total embarrassment. I found this dress at a giant sale in Austin and I’m so glad I scooped it up. It is the comfiest fabric and goes with everything. Since it’s pretty skimpy up top, I threw up my fave denim vest, statement bracelet, and J. Crew mules for an edgy look that’s still work appropriate. Add a high pony for a statement + a peach lip and I’m ready to go!
